Last month I went to Amsterdam to participate and speak at the Stoos Connect Leadership Conference. It was a great event. The video of my presentation is up and you can check it out here: http://bit.ly/XUDBzN. Some of the other speakers were Daniel Pink, Roger L. Martin, Stephen Denning, Jaap Peters, Jurgen Apello and other people. Check out the full speaker list here: http://stoosconnect.nl/speakers/ and all the videos here: http://stoosconnect.nl/videos/
Very interesting. And it seems to me the 4 things you identify are highly reliant on each other.
Thanks, I appreciate that. You’re right, in my opinion the four are highly reliant on each other and I also believe it’s hard to be doing really well when missing out one of the the four.
Why is relationship part of the four most important things? I just wanna know, thank you.
In a sentence: We become happier when we are able to share our lives with people we love.
Background:
Homo sapiens evolved to become a social species. Our ability to collaborate through shared stories is perhaps the main thing that has set us “above” other species. Connecting with others is therefore deeply ingrained in us.
On top of that, women have the maternal instinct most animals have, but men may have developed an even more powerful paternal instinct compared to most animals (this may be mainly culture, I’m not sure). This means most of deeply love and care for our children, and having close relationships with them makes us feel great.
